Were in the Army now....

Today the Army boys were in town with a large inflatable assault course which they were allowing children to play on for a small donation. The morning sun was at full strength making the plastic material a little hot on the little ones feet - so Brandon wimped out. But Joshua was unstoppable. Do we have a Marine in the making?

After lunch it was over to the fun fair at Gloucester Park. Fortunately this was one of those great fun fairs where you buy a wrist band at a reasonable price and then pay no more once inside. Needless to say the boys got more than their moneys worth and often just stayed on one particular ride for multiple turns.

The star ride was definitely this horse riding ride which they must have had about a dozen goes on in total. This was most definitely Brandon's favourite and it was great to see him on rides like this on his own without somewhere having to ride with him.

"Show me the way to the Grand National"

"Look no feet".

"Catch me if you can".

The fearless fire crew.

Check our Brandon's posture on the motorbikes. He was pretty much at full stretch laying along the tank in order to reach the handlebars.

Does this not remind you of an old episode of "Chips"?

And to finish off it was back on the horses - tag team style this time.

Royal Wedding

Forget Kate & Wills, yesterday was our very own Royal Wedding for Michael and Lea and the first wedding that the two boys have been too. All I can say is what a perfect day in a perfect venue for the perfect couple.

Of course my two boys brushed up very well as page boys and stole the show in terms of pure cuteness along with fellow page boy Billy.

Me and the boys posing alongside an extremely rare New Yorker American car which was parked up outside the venue.

And here we are with the groom (my brother and the boys Uncle).

Before the wedding the boys were off stretching their legs running all over the grounds.

Grass stains on the knees and shirts untucked already - proper boys.

Here we all are waiting outside the venue doing a bit of meet and greet.

And here is me with all 3 of the page boys.

Another rare family shot of all four of us. The tower in the background is where Lea and Min got married.

This is mine and the boys catalogue pose!!!!

After the ceremony and the meal the boys were turning their charm on the dance floor and winning over the bridesmaids.

And then off came the shirts and on came the knee slides across the dance floor.

Brandon did so well all day. Unlike Joshua he did not have a nap all day and lasted right through to about 10:30 - then it was lights out, literally. The poor chap was completely pooped out and just collapsed on Mummy's shoulder.

The walk back to the car park.

A shot from earlier in the day when the boys were playing with some of the games out on the Priory lawn.

Water Fight!

The boys have been making the most of this glorious sunshine over the last few days. On Saturday evening we had to drop Tina off in Southend for a hen night. As it was such a beautiful sunny evening we decided to head down on the beach for a while to build some sand castles and play in the water and generally have some fun. It almost felt like holiday season sitting on a scorching hot beach at around 8pm in the evening – its pretty rare you can have evenings like this in the good old UK.

As the weekend passed the temperatures continued to sore and yesterday was the hottest day of the year with temperatures topping 34 degrees. When I got home from work the boys were out in the garden running around and generally getting hot. So I filled up their sand play pit with water to help them cool down. This was absolutely hilarious as within about 5 minutes they were having a water fight. This was the first time the two boys have had a water fight with each other and it was absolutely wonderful to just sit back and watch them running around and throwing water over each other.

The garden soon became a mud bath and they were both slipping over getting covered in wet muddy grass – proper boys!!! Brandon gave as good as he got which was nice to see. I haven’t laughed so much in ages watching the pair of them going at it.

What an action shot.

Would you mess with this pirate?

To further add to the fun (and the wet muddy garden) I decided to get the sprinkler out and let the nuddie boys run in and out of the water jets. Oh to be young again and not have a care in the world……….

On a slightly different subject the boys have been having phase in sessions at their new nursery over the last week and a half. All seems to be going well and they are settling in nicely and already made some friends. They have already brought home their first art work from the new nursery which they were both very proud of. Anyway Friday is the big day when they both do their first full day and will no longer go to their current nursery.

To finish today’s blog update I think most people are aware that Joshua is a thumb sucker, but Brandon has his cloth. At times he gets very attached to his cloth regardless of how dirty and smelly they become and it can be a challenge to part it off of him to put in the washing machine. Despite having a drawer full of cloths he is no longer fooled by a sparkling new clean one. If you give him a fresh one he often throws it to the floor and says “I want yucky cloth!” How funny is that?
