Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World) 2017 - Day 1

After travelling to Korea for nearly a week of the school holidays and still having a lot of holiday left to take this year, I decided to take a couple of days off work last week to see out the last of the school summer holidays with the family. During these two days we decided to head down to Southampton for 2 days to take the kids to Paulton's Park / Peppa Pig World. Holly has become really interested in Peppa Pig lately so it seemed the perfect place to take her. Also Paulton's has the new Lost Kingdom zone with some impressive looking thrill rides to keep me and the boys entertained.

We had an absolutely fab couple of days and despite spending two whole days in the theme park we still didn't get to see everything and to go on every ride. The queues were not too bad either. I think our longest queue was for the Cobra coaster which was 30 mins, most were much less. The weather over the two days was absolutely scorching so much so that the sun cream had to come out - who would have thought this for September. The kids really enjoyed this break even down to sleeping in the Holiday Inn over night which seemed like a mini vacation to them.

Brandon trying to find England on the map.

As soon as the gates opened we made a quick dash towards Peppa Pig world, however got side tracked with the temptation to jump on Wave Runner whilst there was no queue. Me and Holly beating Joshua.

Brandon came in 3rd place with his slight body weight not working as well with gravity.

Happy Holly finally gets to see Peppa Pig World.

The Peppa Pig train.

Tina, Holly, Joshua and Brandon riding the Peppa Pig Train.

Holly on the dinosaur ride.

I had to ride with Holly on the dinosaur as she was too small to ride solo.

I think Joshua is a bit too big to be riding on Peppa Pig rides now.

And I don't think Brandon was feleling it at Peppa Pig World and kept asking when we can head off to the big rides.

Holly getting ready to take me and B for a drive in Peppa's car.

At least one person was enjoying Peppa Pig World.

I have no idea who all the characters are in the background.

I think this is Rebecca Rabbit.

The kiddies in Peppa Pig's kitchen with all the characters.

The small boat ride in Peppa Pig World.

Holly with her beautiful small having the time of her life.

Finally we leave Peppa Pig World and Holly finds some tea cups which she wants to ride.

Joshua and Brandon exploring some cockroaches in the bug world.

This blur was us riding the new Pterosaur thrill ride in the Lost Kingdom. By far the best ride in the park (in our opinion).

Second best was the new Velociraptor ride which was really good until it went backwards!

Probably the favourite family ride for all 5 of us was the log flume. We must have rode this about 7-8 times over the two days and got absolutely soaked.

The drop in to the plunge pool.

Going back up ready for another splash landing.

Tina and Holly about to get a good soaking.

Holly's face says it all.

Brandon and Joshua riding on the swings.

For the first time Holly could also ride on the swings with an adult on the double seats.

Whilst me and the boys went off on some more thrill rides Tina kept Holly entertained on some of the smaller children's rides.

Looks more like Digger Land than Paulton's!

Some of the gardens and plating at Paulton's is just incredible. This hedge shaped into a Cobra was pretty impressive.

Another new ride at Paulton's was the Dino Discovery ride.

As always most of the rides are for 4 people which is a problem for us. So Tina went with Holly and Joshua and Brandon had to ride with me.

Brandon looking out at some of the dino's on the tour.

This one looks ready to attack Brandon.

As we went through a cave this one did attack me as it squirted me with loads of water.

Coming to the end and earning is Dino Explorer Licence.

Joshua and Holly in a Chinese Pergola.

The Chinese garden area was just stunning.
