Cycle Ride in Maldon

Last weekend we took another lock down outdoor excursion to Maldon Promenade. It was kind of weird seeing all the parks and play areas closed off due to Covid, yet still surprisingly very busy still. We spent a good few hours there having a cycle around and getting an ice cream and some chips. They have a nice little BMX track at the back of the park which the kids really enjoyed playing on, although all of them were getting a bit hot and sweaty as it was a very sunny day.

Brandon on the Maldon BMX track.

Holly was super brave and handled the whole BMX track on her own. How she didn't have a fall is beyond me.

Another shot of Brandon.

Leaning in to the banked corners.

Joshua trying to get some air time, the front wheel is up.

Whilst all the play areas were closed, the sand pit was still open for the kids to play in.

Plenty of wildlife out on the lake.

Taking some shade for some chips and ice cream.

I wonder how much longer we will be seeing signs like this on children's play areas.

The 3 kids by the statue at the end of the promenade. Tina was back in the shade of a gazebo waiting for us as her toe was still hurting!
