Marathon in March

It is no surprise that all of us have become a little bit lazy during lockdown 3.0 and probably all gained a few extra "unwanted" pounds. With the schools about to return back tomorrow, they have issued a Challenge for the kids to get active and to run a Marathon in March with the reward of a medal at the end of the it.

Holly jumped all over this challenge and was dead keen to participate. So I have taken her out everyday in March for a 1 mile run. So here we are 7 days in and 7 miles complete. She has done absolutely amazing and hasn't stopped on any of the runs unless it was to cross a road. She has been suffering with stitches quite a lot, but today was the first time she completed the run with out getting a stitch - so that's progress. So 7 down, 19 to go and no rest days taken yet.

Holly is really motivated to complete the Marathon in March Challenge.

What a great idea to get the little ones active again.

This is one of our routes which is the 1 mile mini-Wick loop.

Then for something different today we tried the Wick Country Park, but it is still a little muddy over there.
