Easter Movie Car Show

Our Easter Sunday started nice an early with a 10am kick-off for my Under 7 Tigers playing at home against Lee Chapel Lions. A promising start saw us go 4-2 up before Lee Chapel levelled the score at 4-4. The second half was tense but we managed to edge out another win against a Lions team with the score finishing 6-5 to us. Joshua played in defence in the 1st half and then centre forward in the second half. Whilst he didn't score today he did have a few shots on goal and run his little socks off getting forward to attack and then tracking back to defend.

After the football we had a spot of lunch and then headed over to Festival Leisure Park for the Movie Cars event followed by some swimming and tennis at the David Lloyd. Brandon in particular was excited about the cars but probably not as much as me. I must have sounded such a geek trying to educate the boys on "Ecto 1" and "Kitt" reminiscing the classic movie cars from my youth. The boys also got to do an Easter hunt over there to win some chocolate eggs and they met the Easter Bunny. Then it was off home for a nice Easter Turkey roast.

Brandon with the Easter Bunny.
I remember having the toy version of this batmobile as a kid and firing matchsticks out of the back. So cool.
Shouldn't we all be driving cars like this?
The boys posing with neighbour Amelia and the batmobile.
Can't wait for the new Ghostbusters movie to come out. Please don't change "Ecto 1"!!!
What a beast of a car.
Brandon with the batmobile again.
The boys meet Kitt the talking car with their sad Daddy demonstrating how Hasslehoff talked to it using his wrist watch.
An interior shot of Kitt.
The Scooby van pumping out the soundtrack to Scooby Dooby Doo.
Joshua driving Noddy's car.
Even as small as this car is, Brandon still can't see over the steering wheel.
With Furious 7 just being released it was a good opportunity to see some of the original "Fast and the Furious" cars.
Brandon liked the big spoiler.
Brandon again enjoying being a petrol head.

Finally for today a few action shots from Joshua's earlier football match.

Great use of the arms to fend off an attacker. Tongue in his cheek (literally).
Is that Joshua with his tongue out yet again.
And another shot of Joshua on the ball and launching a forward attack.
