Rory's Visit to Clacton @ 2 Weeks Old

Staying with our seaside themed weekend we joined Zoe, Nick, Rory, Nicky, Matt and Kim yesterday for a great day out on Clacton beach. We had a little bit of traffic to get there but once there and set up on the beach the weather was just glorious and we could have been anywhere in the world. Chips, ice-creams, slushies and sandy picnic food was flowing freely and the kids were all in and out of the sea to cool off.

After spending a good few hours on the beach we decided to head off to the arcades for the kiddies to play the 2p machines and then get some dinner a sit was getting late. Nick and Zoe recommended this pub right opposite Clacton Pier which served good food at a very affordable price and they didn't disappoint. In fact I have never know pub food arrive so quickly once ordered.

The kids got to see the life guards in action as some woman who happened to be a non swimmer was getting dragged out towards the end of the pier. We also had a little scare ourselves with naughty little Holly wandering off on the pier to go and sit on one of the little £1 ride-on things without telling anyone where she was going.

With the tide out the boys could go out quite far as the water was very shallow towards the end of the pier.
