So we have now been home schooling 3 children for 5 weeks since Xmas and it looks like no let up until mid March at the earliest, so another 5 weeks to go (minimum). Up until the week before last Tina has been home schooling Holly in the living room over the coffee table and was having massive problems due to attitude, concentration, constantly wanting breaks, arguing etc.
So last weekend I had an idea to set Holly up her own little office space in the new man cave extension which can be her classroom for the school days. She I bought down one of the boys old desks and chairs, a bit of old carpet, set up a laptop, mouse, mic etc. Tina and Holly made a really snazzy unicorn pen pot and hey presto, a home classroom.
Over the last week we have now seen a massive improvement and Holly is getting loads more work done and the quality of her work has improved significantly. Even her teachers have sent home messages with positive comments regarding some of her latest work.
Brandon ordered a new gaming chair in green and black using his birthday money this week and Holly even had a cheeky go at that in her new home classroom. Brandon's bedroom PC set-up is looking pretty damn impressive now and all colour coded in green and black.
