The Elf Returns for 2023

With Holly going in to Year 6 next year then I think this could be the very last year that any of our kids believe in the Elf on the Shelf or even Santa. Despite this potentially being the last year I just couldn't bring myself to a whole month of Elf on the Shelf and thus Holly's Elf only made its appearance with 12 days to Xmas. She was getting pretty upset early in December as all her school mates already had their Elf and hers had not yet shown up, but now she is in full Elf mode and gets excited every morning to get up and search the house to see what mischief the Elf has been up too.

So on the 12th day before Xmas the Elf filled Holly's bedroom floor with football cones making it difficult for her to get in and out of her bed. On the 11th day before Xmas the Elf played on our arcade machine and knocked one of my high scores out on Defender. On the 10th day Brandon took the reins and put the Elf in a pasta jar with a note saying "I am a flower!". Then last night the Elf crept in to Holly's room and nicked her favourite Dogman/Catman books and her glasses and sat down in the living room reading her books (she was not impressed).

12 days before Xmas and the Elf makes a big entrance whilst Holly is fast asleep.

11 days before Xmas and the Elf plays our arcade machine.

And annoyingly knocks one of my scores out of 8th place.

10 days before Xmas and Brandon set-up a flower jar Elf.

Then last night the Elf took Holly's prized Dogman and Catman books.
