Memorial Stone

Today's blog is a real mixed bag from a very busy Birthday weekend. So it is going to jump around a bit, but enjoy the pictures anyway.

Firstly Holly taking her feeding spoon off of Mummy and wanting to do it herself.
As usual the weekend involved lots of football. At our under 6's training session Tina had surprised me for my Birthday by sending along a load of surprise cupcakes that she had made for me to share amongst the team, As it turned out there was 3 other Birthdays amongst the team and this meant a sugar rush of sweets and cakes being handed out.

Brandon showing some speed doing in and outs through the cones.

Then in and out of the cones with a ball. Great footwork.

After the cone run he takes a great shot on goal whilst being overlooked by Coach Spud!
Once the morning football was over it was down to Wat Tyler park as Auntie Chris, Steve and Layla had come down for the weekend.

Auntie Chris enjoying a cuddle with Holly.

Showing that she still has the touch as Chris settles Holly down for an afternoon nap.

Meanwhile Joshua, Brandon and Layla enjoy some crafts at the Lab.
After Wat Tyler Park it was back to mine for our first BBQ of the year to celebrate my Birthday. Tina had bought me a Yorkie Birthday cake and Auntie Chris had also brought me a Birthday cake. So even more of a sugar rush.

Daddy demonstrating stupidity to Joshua as I wave my hands through the candle firework/sparklers.

Auntie Nicky showing Chris that she isn't the only one with "the touch" to put a baby asleep.

But wait, whats this..........? Was Nicky using banned substances to gain an illegal advantage? Or is Holly just a little boozer already?

Layla, Brandon and Joshua enjoying some fun time on the garden trampoline.
On Sunday we had a plan to all meet up and plant an Oak tree in memory of Mum with a Memorial stone. However before heading off to do this, Joshua had another friendly training game against Corringham. The boys played absolutely outstanding today and were showing lots of balls skills, passing, crosses, tackles, positional awareness. It was an almost faultless performance and really enjoyable to watch as out boys enjoyed a 2 - 4 win away.

Joshua went on goal for the first half and got to try our new "Kwik Fit" away kit in bright green.

Joshua had a fairly quiet half game in goal, although he did make 2 saves, let 2 in and had 2 goal kicks to take.

Joshua tee's off one of his goal kicks.

And then the second goal kick.
After football it was a quick dash home to get some lunch and get changed before heading out to plant Mum/Nanny's tree and to lay the Memorial stone.

Me, Uncle Michael, Joshua, Brandon and Layla get digging the hole for the tree.

The kids loved getting stick into the digging.

In goes the tree as the hole for the Memorial stone is prepared.

Holly picks up a beach spade and decides to get involved with a helping hand from Auntie Lisa.

A nice picture of Auntie Lea and Holly. Note Holly wearing the pretty doggy dress the her and Min bought Holly for Xmas.

Admiring the Team Kismet work as the Oak Tree currently looks like a twig in the ground.

The Memorial stone is cemented in and looking good.

A final clean up around the outside of the stone.

And then some lovely flowers are added around the outside, courtesy o Auntie Chris.

A lovely picture of all of the kids with Layla.

Finally a nice picture of me with my little baby girl.

I think if you look closely at the piccie of me holding Holly and getting her off to sleep, you will see that the hand holding the wine glass isn't actually mine! Mention no names, Auntie Lisa! Lol.
Had a lovely time with all of the KISMET crew plus Chris, Steve and Layla, planting mum's/nan's tree and laying the memorial stone. So nice to have somewhere to go when you feel the need xxx
