Holly's Potty Training and Sleep Updates

It has been a while since I wrote much about Holly's development and with her having two older brothers you tend to take a lot of her achievements for granted. Her potty training has now progressed even further, she is now completely dry through the daytime and even for her daytime naps we no longer put her in pull-ups and just let her wear nickers. She still wears the pull-ups over night but I would say 75%+ of the time she wakes up dry anyway.

Just lately she has actually started showing signs that she no longer needs her daytime nap and in fact today we kept her awake all day. She seemed to manage fine although was looking a little tired come 5 to 6 o'clock and was sitting with me having cuddles and reading books. If you try and take her up for her daytime nap now she says "no bed mummy, no bed mummy!".

Holly's speech and stringing together words is really getting good and she understands so much. I think on a previous blog I have written about all the nicknames we have for Holly and one of them is "H-bomb". Well she has now picked up on this and has started calling Joshua, "Joshie bomb" which is just so funny to hear. Even more so that she can't say her "J"'s properly yet so it actually comes out as "Yoshie bomb" which really winds Josh up.

Changing subject slightly but still talking about Holly, earlier in the week I took the kiddies for a cycle to a refurbished park just around the corner from us and they have this really fantastic two person swing which includes a toddle chair and a junior swing seat. So Joshua or Brandon can jump on it and have a swing with their little sister. I also took the boys down the driving range earlier this week to hit some golf balls and decided to take Holly along as well. She was getting a bit of a handful to keep her back whilst the boys were swinging their clubs, so I gave her a small iron and a few balls and let her try hitting a few balls herself. She absolutely loved it.

Then Brandon's turn whist Joshua plays on another swing in the background.
Holly starting her golf career young with her first trip to the driving range at 2 years of age.
