Wickmas 2023 (better late than never)

Well it has been a bad start to the year with blog updates as we are 2 weeks in to the year and so far zero updates. Post Xmas has just been absolutely manic with very little free time, so much so that I am only just getting around to posting some of the pictures from our Boxing Day family get together.

Unfortunately this year we was missing Min and Lea who were off sunning themselves on a Disney Cruise. But we need manage to face time them on the lounge TV whilst we were opening our presents. It was absolutely lovely to speak to them and hear what a great time they were having, plus we got a virtual tour of their hotel and some expletive hand gestures from Michael's Thanos glove.

Anyway here are some of the pictures from Boxing Day which seems a distant memory now.

Colourful by personality, colourful by outfit.

Nice to see Brandon over his Xmas Day hang over and joining in with the family on Boxing Day.

So my cracker present was a dumbbell shaped beer glass which as you can see it pretty much impossible to get the last few bits out of the glass.

Wise choice to wear a thick Oodie as everyone constantly reminds me my house is so cold.

David with his festive jumper.

Lisa came armed with loads of fun little games to help keep everyone entertained.

The first of which was trying to pick up small marshmallows with chop sticks. Turns out I am quite good at this!

Everyone got stuck in and had a go.

Amy was also very good and the final was a showdown with me and her which I seem to recall she beat me by 1!

I think Holly was cheating a little and doing some scooping.

One son down and interacting with the family. No sign of Josh though.

Another of Lisa's games was scooping marshmallows in to a bowl using a serving spoon whilst blind folded.

Whilst this seemed harder than the chopsticks, you definitely scored a lot higher and I for one could not be asked to count them!

1 min to scoop as many as possible in to the bowl.

Matthew was hilarious and couldn't even find the bowl most of the time.

Nicky being very consistent with the scoop leaving none in the middle anymore.

Tricky, right hand but scooping to backwards.

Me and H smashing out some Mario Kart races on her Switch. Yes that is my shiny bald spot.

Zoe organised a blind chocolate tasting challenge.

Face timing Min and Lea from the US during the present opening.

The Thamos hand which made some rude gestures!

This 8 in 1 Carnival game was our family present for 2023 which we thought would be good fun for Boxing Day.

Another of Lisa's games with cup stacking whilst keeping an inflated balloon in the air.

Brandon on the balloon / cup game.

Playing against Zoe.

Then getting to laugh at Tina as she tries her hand at it.

Amy letting her balloon go astray.

I think that is cheating resting your balloon on the bench.

That's better.

Max points for Nicky with the Xmas outfit, sporting the Griswold Xmas jumper.

Present time in the living room.

Always good seeing everyone opening their presents.

Later in the day we pulled the giant cracker for the secret Santa presents.

Someone really wanted in on this picture.

Taking positions ready for the pull.

And just like that all mine and Holly's hard work is ripped apart.

More from the cracker pull.

Exposing everyone's secret Santa presents.

Rory getting a bit close for the carnival

Playing a sober version of beer pong bounces the balls off of the conservatory floor.
