Tunisia - Day 8 Banana Boat

Day 8 of our holiday and much like yesterday we spent the day on resort enjoying the pool, the sea and some of the activities. Holly had another go at a body board game in the pool where you had to try and catch 2 balls in a buckets whilst moving on the board (she failed this time).

On the beach Joshua learnt from a German woman that if you pick up jelly fish using the palms of your hands they don't seem to sting for some reason. So he spent about an hour searching for and then picking jelly fish out of the sea. After lunch we went down to the beach again for a ride on the banana boat which was good fun. They needed 4-5 people to take it out which would have been perfect for our family, but boring Brandon didn't fancy it again so it was just me, Tina, Josh and Holly.

For food we mixed things up a bit on Day 8 having lunch in the Nesoi Mediterranean Restaurant which is outdoor and gives a spectacular view of the beach. Then for dinner we booked in to the Le Savoy restaurant instead of the buffet. This meant all dressing up a little nicer and minding our p's and q's with good table manners.

Holly's little Stitch arrangement which she had on her bed every night.

This was her new teddy, a Tunisian camel.

Starting the day with some sun bathing in the pool.

Holly enjoying trying the body boarding activities in the pool again.

This one she failed and went in for a plunge.

The Nesoi restaurant for lunch.

There can be worse views whilst eating your lunch.

Josh learnt to catch little jelly fish in the palm of his hands.

We also caught this unusual blue pipe jelly fish using my shark hat (not brave enough to touch this one in the water).

After lunch we headed down to the beach for the banana boat.

As always Holly was keen and sitting front and center.

Tina was dragged out to make the numbers up (as Brandon didn't fancy it), but I am not sure Tina fancies it either.

All loaded on and ready to go.

The speed boat pulls us out deep in to the sea

The hotel becomes a distant view.

We go so far out we catch up with one of the 4 pirate ships operating in the area.

Then we turn and head back to shore.

Lucky the "Dad-cam" is waterproof as they were clearly lining up to throw us all off.

I think Holly knows what is coming.

The banana boat starts to tip.

Holly is first to fly off in spectacular fashion.

Closely followed by Tina and Josh.

And me hanging on until the very end.

All smiles as we make our way back to the beach.

Brandon missed out there as we had fun.

Holly with sea water in her eyes where she went under water.

She is absolutely loving all the beach activities.

Not sure what I was thinking here.

Josh stripping off his life jacket before even getting out of the water.

Well she may not have wanted to do it, but she was smiling afterwards.

Don't you just love my shark swimming shorts?

Before dinner the lobby area had laid out loads of cocktails for people to walk up and try.

The colours looked amazing and the display very well thought out.

Of course we did our best to try one of each before heading down to dinner.

All dressed up for dinner in Le Savoy tonight.

Posh deserts to finish the meal.

Holly enjoying a nice selection of fruit.
