Annual Xmas Summerhill and Alton's Visit

With a Sunday free from football and rugby we had a rare day where we didn't really have a whole lot to do. Holly's football team has taken a turn for the worst and folded, Brandon was still feeling sick and couldn't play, and Joshua still has a popped Achilles from last weekends rugby game and can barely walk, let alone run!

So we used the time for our annual jaunt around the local garden centers to "look" at the Xmas displays. The emphasis on the word "look" is a bit of a joke as I was out with two women and ended up with a bill for nearly £200 on just four new Christmas decorations!!!!

Altons won hands down this year for the actual decorations and we could have bought a lot more than we did. But Summerhill easily won the photo opportunity displays as it has done for the last couple of years. It is starting to feel festive now with just 3 weeks until the big day!

Lovely picture of Tina and Holly at Summerhill.

Not much at Alton's for photo opportunities.

Santa's desk was about as good as it got.

I suppose they did have an ice bar, but no drinks for Holly to serve.

By contrast you get get some really cool festive snaps at Summerhill.

So the new decs, well first was a Xmas door bow (just to annoy the postman!).

Second and most expensive was this illuminated table center piece.

Third was the infinity light Elf. This took a lot of deliberating between the reindeer, snowman, Santa, toy soldier or the Elf.

Finally and new outdoor decoration with a 3m high star that trickles down in to a tree shape.
