Joshua seems to be going through a year of big changes. Firstly he started college, secondly he has started to learn to drive (and doing very well at that at the moment), then last week he started his first proper paid employment. Tina has managed to get him taken on at Tesco's as a General Assistant. The position is only temporary over the Xmas period but we are hoping they decide to keep him on in the New Year of he works hard and proves himself. Either way it is good experience for him and will look good on his CV.
Although he won't see his first pay check until early January it will be really good for him to start having some financial independence. He seems to be enjoying the work at the moment and has completed all his training and done a few long 9 hour shifts (with a 1.5 hour break). He has now really started to understand what the real word is like with long days at college and long days at work as he is always tired and often goes to bed early without even asking. Finally I think he understands why I am asleep at 7pm on the sofa most evenings!!!!
