World Gym Challenge

You will be pleased to hear that Joshua has started out early in his campaign to avoid the ever increasing childhood obesity thing and follow his old man with a keen interest in sport. On Sunday we was down in Gillingham for the WorldGymChallenge X-training Trials and despite me putting in the fastest time of the day, Joshua decided he would show Dad just how to do this stuff properly. For his first competition the little man was very impressive and put in some stunning times. The crowd cheered him on all the way. Joshua even managed to get his picture on the worldgymchallenge.com website!!!!! If you have a look at this website then just click on latest news and scroll down to March the 9th. Anyway here are some pictures of Joshua in his first X-training competition.........

It all started with a tough 2k bike.
Then it was onto 50 full sit-ups.

A 750m row was next, the little man had to lay down on the seat as he isn't quite able to sit up on his own just yet.
The shoulder press proved to be tough as the little guy kept hitting the dumbbell on the back of the bench where he is so short.
The bench press was awesome, Dad was just spotting the little guy in case he dropped the bar. Personally I don't think Joshua's bench press should count as his arms are so short he hardly has to move the bar!!!!

It was agreed with the organisers that Joshua would be excluded from the run on the basis that it would be a bit unfair since he cannot even walk yet!
After all that exercise it was time to just collapse on the floor for a rest - but still smiling.

Like father like son, only Dad collapsed after finishing on the treadmill, and was not smiling!!!
