Day 4 Minehead

On Day 4 we had to slow things down a little. I think we were all starting to get tired at the pace of this holiday. So much of the morning was spent swimming and then letting Brandon have a drive on the mini karts as he was not tall enough for the bigger ones.

After this we found some donkeys which were taking children on a little ride around the field. Initially Brandon was having none of this, but Joshua was really excited and jumped up for a ride in no time. Here is Joshua riding "Silver".

After seeing his big brother having so much fun Brandon decided that he should have a go as well.

After lunch we chilled out and watched the Bob The Builder show in the Sky Pavilion.

Then after the show we went outside to the fair ground where we had a few rides on the merry go round.

Brandon was not tall enough to ride a horse so he had to go in a carriage with Mummy.

Surprisingly Joshua was tall enough to go on this ride as long as he was accompanied by an adult. I was a bit dubious about letting him go on such a big ride but he talked me into it. The thrill of going so high and fast lit his face so much that he didn't want to get off. So I ended up staying on for 2 rides and then Mummy had to go on with him as well.

Joshua has recently had a bit of a growth spurt and we are having to restock his wardrobe with 4-5 year old clothes already. Part of the problem might be these gigantic double ice creams which he was polishing off every day.

Brandon was not left out on the ice cream front and favoured a simple tub of chocolate ice cream. If you could put a caption on this picture I think it would read "Thanks good for food!".

The coffee shop in Butlins sells "baby chino" coffee's for the little ones. Its basically a drinking chocolate. But it makes the kids feel all grown up like they are drinking a proper coffee with the adults, what a great idea.

We then watched another one of the puppet shows at the puppet castle.

Meet Jenga.........

After the puppet show it was out for dinner and then back to the chalet for a good nights sleep ready for Day 5. Check back as we turn up the heat again and head out to Dunster castle - some stunning pictures from some beautiful scenery.
