Happy New Year 2015

For the first time both Joshua and Brandon managed to stay up until gone midnight to see in their first new year. We sat  up watching some World's Strongest Man followed by Captain America and then Thor. Joshua barely made the night and was really showing tired signs, Brandon however was a little energiser bunny who just didn't stop (or shut up all night). Even I had a little nap during Captain America, but he just kept going all night long and arguably would have stayed up later.

So this was their first New Year to remember and nearer to midnight we flicked over to BBC1 for the Big Ben countdown and the London fireworks (as good as these are, how we as a Nation can justify £1.8 million for these is beyond me). Anyway the boys then had their very first Old Lang Syne experience with Mummy, although Joshua's effort was very half hearted due to being so tired. They really liked the fireworks and will also remember this New Year for the live performance from Queen and Adam Lambert which was also on TV. Brandon is absolutely fanatical about Queen.

The boys enjoyed every minute of the £1.8 million London fireworks.

Brandon loved the Queen + Adam Lambert show. Starting "We Will Rock You" with bagpipes was something special!!!

The boys first Old Lang Syne with Mummy. Joshua looking dead on his feet and Brandon focused on the telly to try and copy the words / dance.
Holly unfortunately was way too tired by about 8am, but I am sure that in years to come we will all enjoy seeing the New Year in as a family of 5. As much as the boys have enjoyed the 2015 New Year's celebrations it was slightly dampened in the morning when we had Sky News on at breakfast and they saw the shocking scenes from the stampede in Shanghai when some 30+ people die.
