Newquay Day 7 - Sea Scooters

Day 7 and probably the worst day for the weather. The boys wanted to try their new body boards out so we headed over to Fistral Beach in the morning. We stayed there until lunch but it was pretty cold and wet so we headed back to site. The weather did then start to perk up in the afternoon and me and the kiddies played some football, badminton, bowls and throwing ball just around our tent area.

In the afternoon we had booked Joshua and Brandon on a sea scooters experience in the Oasis pool. Joshua took to the sea scooter like a fish to water and pretty much had to be dragged off of it. Brandon was OK when the sea scooter was taking him on the surface but he wasn't as competent at diving under the water with it. The instructor gave them loads of games to play with the sea scooter, such as diving for treasure, trying to dive underwater and through loops, having races around the pool and so on. It was a really good experience for the boys and they had loads of fun.

Overall a bit of a relaxed day today so not many pictures to share.

Joshua's body board all ready for a trip to Fistral Bay.

Brandon's body board.

On the way to Fistral By we stopped off at this monument which was actually far more challenging to climb up than it looks!

But there was a very nice view from the top.

Looking out across the Newquay coastline.

We got to Fistral Bay but the weather wasn't great and we didn't stay long. Even Joshua felt the cold in the water today.

Joshua sets off first and really gets to grips with the sea scooter straight away.

Brandon was fine on top of the water but not so good diving underneath.

Joshua looking very stream lined and really getting around the pool.

Brandon racing around the pool collecting treasures for points.

By the time we finish on the sea scooters the outside pool is empty and it is time to head off and get some dinner.
