Once again Brandon got picked for the school swimming team and last week competed in the inter school gala comp. Abacus school took a squad of 32 children from KS2 for the 6th Wickford Schools Swimming Gala which included individual races plus relays.
Brandon had promised his teacher the year earlier that he would take on the butterfly this year as no one else likes it or can do it very well. Anyway Brandon stuck to his word and from what I hear he had a very tight photo finish race and was eventually awarded 3rd place. Then he was also part of the Abacus relay swimming team and in their relay race they absolutely stormed away to take first place.
It sounds like the squad had a great team spirit and each child put in a great performance according to the school news letter.
