Orlando Florida Day 3 - Typhoon Lagoon

After two very long and exhausting days it was time to slow things down a little on Day 3 with a much needed chill day at a water park. The first one we visited in Florida was Disney's Typhoon Lagoon but not before we introduced the kids to a Denny's breakfast enroute to the park. We figured water park days are a good opportunity to load up with a big breakfast to set us up nicely for the long and active day ahead.

Typhoon Lagoon was reasonably quiet when we first got there and so we managed to get on some of the bigger slides. But late in the afternoon it started getting pretty busy and some of the queues were getting quite long. Out of all the water parks we visited, Typhoon Lagoon by far has the best wave pool in terms of the shear size and the size of the waves it generates.

Breakfast at Denny's before heading to Typhoon Lagoon.

Holly loved her pancakes and me and Tina had a big cooked breakfast. Not sure the boys were to impressed with their first Denny's experience though.

First water park of our holiday - Typhoon Lagoon.

Managed to get someone to get a picture of the 5 of us, love the boys Hawaiian shirts.

Early in the day the wave pool was empty.

The waves start up.

Incoming....

This was just a small one, they got bigger and bigger.

Tina and H cooling off in the pool water.

The kids really needed this water park day and were more excited about this than the theme parks.

My two Princesses.

The ship wreck at the top of the mountain as the waves get bigger.

And bigger.

Me and my H.

Me and H again.

My world right there.

Brandon trying to outrun a wave.

The scenic lazy river.

Holly in a shar cage. The boys would argue it is the best place for her.

Josh and B getting on some of the bigger water slides before the park got too busy.

Leaving me, H and Tina to ride in our own inflatable.

Going up....

And up....

And then down, looks like Holly is enjoying.

Never good going backwards and not knowing what is coming.

That's a high banked bend.

Joshua and Brandon on a twin inflatable ride.

Trying to look cool getting out of the inflatable.

Tina and Holly were next down.

This should be fun watching them try and get out.

Chill time on the lazy river.

Tina trying to reach back to help Holly.

Finally Holly gets into her inflatable.

The kids tend to not relax in the lazy river and make it an active river rushing around.

Tina and H in the lazy river.

Love this picture of my ladies.

Holly about to go through some cooling spray mist.

How many inflatables does Holly need.

The arm chair inflatables are a really good idea.

Lovely scenery in Typhoon Lagoon.

View looking down across the park from up in one of the queues.

We saw loads and loads of these little lizards all over Orlando.

More scenery at Typhoon Lagoon.

The Typhoon Lagoon ship wreck.

Me, H and Tina went off on some slides whilst the two boys went off and did their own thing.

More of the famous ship wreck on the mountain top.

Holly all set to go down a water slide.

And she's off.

Tina's turn.

Meandering down the slide through the rockery.

Time for me to head down and meet them both.

Me again.

Holly absolutely loved the water slides.

Tina splashes down at the bottom.

All smiles on this one as we set-off.

Someone is getting wet when we go around that corner.

And I guess it is Tina!

Holly got a good soaking as well.

Such good fun.

Mickey Mouse inflatables.

Later in the day the wave pool got a lot busier.

Holly on one of the smaller slides.

Tina about to head off down another one.

Finally we found the boys and for a brief time we were all together going down a few water slides.

Holly put the life jacket on to help keep the sun off her shoulders as she was starting to go a little red.

Brandon on the other hand was just a solar panel soaking up the sun.

As usual just my feet as I follow them all down last.

My little H in the splash pool.

A helping hand to get Tina started down the slide.

By the end of the day we were all knackered and the lazy river finally became a proper lazy river.

Brandon chilling is some shade.

That water fall felt so nice in the Orlando heat.

Power nap time for me.

As we left the park at the end of the day, this gorgeous surf wagon was parked outside. Just stunning.
