Football Mixed Fortunes - Girl of the Match an a Splint.

A bit of mixed fortunes for this weekend for the kids football. I had the usual juggling around trying to get both Holly and Brandon to games at different kick-off times in different locations and thus not being able to watch much of either of them.

It sounds like Holly had a real good first half and scored a goal earning her "Girl of the match" for the first time. Brandon started on the bench today as he was still recovering from the flu and within a minute or so of being on the pitch was brutally shoved to the floor in a tackle resulting in quite a serious injury ending his game.

After 5.5 hours waiting up A&E we finally got Brandon's arm x-rayed and fortunately it was not broken as initially feared. Luckily it was just a sprain or strain and he is now in a splint for the next 2-3 weeks.

Holly's football team at a birthday party in Flip Out Lakeside this weekend.

Holly's under 9 team now complete with their extra recruits.

"Girl of the match" for the first time today, well done Holly.

Putting my first aid skills to work with an arm sling to make Brandon comfortable during the 5 hour wait up A&E.

Luckily nothing broken and just a sprain or strain meaning he has to wear this splint for 2-3 weeks.
