Day 7 Agadir Morocco - A Much Needed Chill Day

Day 7 was very much a mega chill day, especially after two full-on days of excursions. We didn't have anywhere we needed to be, nothing we needed to see and, for once, absolutely no alarm clocks or early starts to worry about.

As a result, I didn't take anywhere near as many photos today. We pretty much just floated between the hotel pools and the beach, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the chance to properly relax. The occasional game of bocce provided a bit of entertainment and stopped us from becoming completely horizontal for the entire day!

In the evening, Brandon and I headed out onto the promenade behind the hotel in the hope of getting some decent sunset photographs. We'd assumed the sun would set nicely behind Mount Oufella, which we thought would make for some great shots. Unfortunately, it was a little misty and, as it turned out, the sun actually sets a bit further out from the mountain anyway. So our grand plan for some spectacular Mount Oufella sunset shots didn't quite go to plan!

One thing we had started noticing during our daily trips into the sea, though, was the amount of fish just off the beach. Whenever we were jumping around in the waves, we'd regularly see shoals of fish that looked to be around 6–10 inches long almost "surfing" the waves with us.

When the waves settled down, you could see them swimming just beneath the surface, with their heads occasionally poking out above the water. Then, every now and again, one would suddenly launch itself completely out of the sea, almost like a miniature dolphin.

We never did find out exactly what type of fish they were, but they became a bit of a feature of our daily swims. We saw them pretty much every day and would often stop to watch them jumping around in the waves.

So, not the most eventful day of the holiday, but after the madness of Marrakech and our Mount Oufella excursion, it was exactly what we needed.

Sometimes the best holiday days are the ones where you do absolutely nothing!
