Day 9 Agadir Morocco - The Best Meal of the Holiday

 Day 9 and, after another couple of busy excursions, we were back to doing what we'd become very good at—absolutely nothing!

We spent most of the day on resort, making the most of the pool and squeezing in as much relaxation as possible. Holly and Brandon spent a good chunk of the day messing around with the donut-shaped inflatable, which seemed to provide them with endless entertainment.

In the afternoon, Holly headed back down to the beach to see the henna tattoo artist who had done her tattoos earlier in the holiday. She had promised Holly a free top-up a day or so before we went home, which I thought was a really nice gesture and certainly something you don't always get when you're dealing with holiday traders.

While Holly was there, Tina decided to join in and had a dolphin henna tattoo done on her ankle. So, by this point, we were all starting to look like we'd embraced Moroccan culture a little more than we perhaps intended!

But the real highlight of Day 9 came in the evening when we headed off for our final à la carte restaurant experience at The Krystal.

I'll be honest, I wasn't particularly excited about this one. It's primarily a fish-based restaurant and, having heard some less-than-glowing feedback from other guests who had eaten there earlier in the week, I'd actually been tempted to cancel it and just stick with the buffet.

I'm so glad we didn't.

Every single one of us agreed that it was by far the best food and overall dining experience of the entire holiday.

After dinner, we took a stroll along the side of the hotel, where we'd noticed a number of very talented local street artists displaying and selling their paintings. We stopped to have a chat with one of the artists whose work really caught our eye, and after looking through his collection, we ended up making three purchases.

Holly and Josh both picked out a painting, while Tina and I decided to get one for the new man-cave extension back home. Unfortunately, there was a slight problem with our plan—Joshua had already picked the painting that Tina and I had our eyes on! So, after a little bit of sulking and reluctantly giving up our first choice, we had to settle on another one.

Still, it was a great way to finish the evening, and it was nice to bring home something a little more personal from Morocco rather than the usual holiday souvenirs.

Brandon ordered this octopus which can sometimes be chewy if not cooked well. But this just melted in your mouth.

This was Brandon's fish bisque starter which had a pastry baked around the bowl. So you had to crack in to it to get to the bisque.

After the meal a quick walk outside where we went and picked up some painting souvenirs and also one last view of the Mount Oefella illuminated.

Holly wanted a sunset style of painting for her bedroom.

Joshua wanted to buy a painting for his bedroom and annoyingly he picked the one me and Tina wanted.

Instead we bought this one for the man-cave at home.
