Tooth Fairy

Well it is not often that Brandon gets to be the first to any major milestone as his older brother usually takes that honour. However today he chalked one up for himself by being the first one of the boys to lose a tooth. Finally his damaged front tooth has come out at the tender age of 3 (somewhat earlier than we were expecting as typically the milk teeth start falling out at around 5-6 years old).

Brandon proudly showing his new smile and his fallen tooth.
Needless to say tonight's bedtime story was the Peppa Pigs tooth fairy book. Before the story Brandon put his tooth under his pillow and now awaits the tooth fairy to bring him a shiny coin. I am not sure what the going rate is for a tooth fairy these days as this is our first experience of this. I have been advised everything from £1 to Wii games! I think the tooth fairy will go for a fiver this time.

Wide mouthed Brandon
We have had all sorts of questions and funny statements from Brandon as he tries to compute what it means to lose a tooth. He has told us he cant eat anything, cant drink anything, cant clean his teeth but funniest of all is that he can't close his mouth and is walking around the house wide mouthed as in the picture above! Fortunately we already had a dentist visit booked in for next week so we can get his mouth checked out properly.

And here is the first tooth, complete with blood stains.
