Holly's 1st Immunisation Jabs & Brandon's Tooth Fairy Visit

So today Holly had her first set of injections which protect her from DTaP/IPV/Hib and PCV (one jab in each leg!). Unfortunately due to work commitments Holly has been the first of our children that I have not been there for during this horrible experience but at least she had support from her two big brothers in my absence. Holly really wasn't impressed by the whole experience and cried as both needles were stuck in her thighs. Like with the two boys we have given Holly her first lot of Calpol tonight to try and ease any pains and as a precautionary measure to control any temperature that she might get as a result of the injections. It doesn't seem to be helping though as she has spent most of the night wide awake and screaming.

On the plus side Holly is now all signed off ready to go swimming  so like the boys she shall be starting young and will be in the pool this weekend at just 8 weeks old. Whilst getting her injections today Holly was also weighed again and she is now up to 10lb which is slightly up on the 9lb 8 oz from her last weigh in.

Brandon seems adamant on keeping up with Joshua when it comes to losing teeth! Yesterday he lost his 3rd tooth and all before his 5th Birthday!!!!! So the score now is Joshua 5 - Brandon 3. The main difference is that Joshua is losing his naturally and Brandon seems to prefer the much more painful option of knocking them out. The latest loss came as a result of another clash of heads at school. Surely he must be the only 4 year old in Abacus who has lost 3 teeth and got a "gappy" grin already?

Poor Holly, it's horrible watching them having needles jabbed into them when they are so little. Hope she feels better soon after her ordeal.

What are we going to do with Brandon eh?! Was he ok apart from losing his tooth as that must have been some clash of heads to do that. Let's hope Brandon can hold on to his new teeth a bit longer! xxx
