Swimming Gala + Batmobile

Another busy, busy day in the King household. It all started with the typical early Saturday start as we headed over to Forest Glade for football training. It was an absolutely glorious morning and the kids were all really on their game today which made the session really enjoyable. After football it was a quick dash home to get changed, grab something to eat and then head down Basildon Sporting Village as Brandon had a swimming gala.

At the swimming gala Brandon gave it his best as always. He came first in his freestyle race, last in his backstroke and 4th in his heat of breast stroke. So a bit of a mixed bag of results. Unfortunately no medals which seems a bit odd having won a race! I was really pleased that he learned from the last gala not to spin on to his front too early on the back stroke and today he nailed it. The event was no where near as organised as the club champs last year and in the end we was down there for over 4 hours for just 3 races! Thanks to Lisa and David for coming along to support B.

After the gala we made a quick dash in to Basildon Town Centre as it was the final day of the Batmobile display from the 1989 Michael Keaten Batman movie.

Here;s a picture I forgot to post from last weeks FG Fives where Holly had her face painted, just beautiful.

Today Holly looked very glamorous as she chose to wear her Spanish dress and also let Tina tie her hair up. So very girly today.
The kiddies with the 1989 Batmobile. Its not every day you see a car like that.
This has to be one of the most iconic of the Batmobiles. Super sleek and super long.
And as for the fins and the jet at the back.....
The car just looks good from every angle.
