Rascal Bay Crazy Golf

Still trying to keep the kids entertained through half term we planned to start today with a 2k park run in Chelmsford. However Brandon's legs were really tired after football and swimming yesterday and Joshua showed no signs of getting of bed early enough. So that idea went out of the window.

So as not to waste the day we headed over to Rascal Bay Crazy Golf in Brentwood and had a really good family game of golf. Even Holly joined in although getting her to wait her turn and to stop playing in the water hazards was a challenge! The course is really good and set in a very impressive pirate and dinosaur theme. I have to say its one of the better crazy golf courses I have played on.

We didn't really keep score for Holly as most of her holes were more like hockey than golf. Surprisingly I came last out of the rest of us, Brandon won by one shot of Tina and Joshua came a very close 3rd place.

All set and for a round of Crazy Golf at Rascal Bay.

Tina tee's off on the first half.

The 3 kiddies really enjoyed Rascal Bay. Joshua and Brandon had played there once before with Beavers/Cubs.

This impressive hole had you hit the ball through the canon barrel.

This hole was very tricky trying to get the ball through the octopus tentacles.

Looks such a simple hold but trying to roll the ball down the hill into the skull nose was very tricky.

You can even boil your lunch halfway around the course!

At around the 7th hole you have to board a raft and use a rope to pull yourself over to the next hole.

Me and Brandon wanted to take the Land Rover home with us.

Holly and B. Yes Holly kept her hair tied up all the time were out.

Trying to avoid the lava.

This hole was like a meerkat desert theme with burrows everywhere that took your ball off through a tunnel.

Josh and Brandon with a caged dinosaur (or is that Tina?).

Family picture. I am the grumpy one at the back with the long tail.

The boys making the hammers sign with their putters.

Another raft at around the 16th hole.

After the golf the kids played in the park for an hour and I got this lovely picture of B and Holly on a see-saw.
