Lanzarote Day 2

Day 2 in Lanzarote was very laid back since Joshua was not feeling very well. The little guy was not eating anything and was throwing up his milk and water. He seemed fine in himself and was very lively and loud - perhaps the hot weather was getting to him. So the day started with settling into our hotel room and Joshua exploring his new environment.

Once we were unpacked and had found the restaurant for some brekkie, it was time to find one of the many pools in the hotel. At the start of the week Joshua needed help getting into the pool and then walking around it. By the end of the week he was a free spirit and got in/out at will and was happy to wander around the pool on his own. Every now and then he would get a bit too cocky and fall under water for a quick dunk - that's when Dad would have to come to the rescue!

After all that pool time Joshua would often crash out for a power nap on the sun bed in the shade.

Wow, blue skies and palm trees - as you can see the resort was very nice indeed (sure beats the September weather back in the UK).

In the evening we took a nice stroll along the sea wall to explore our new surroundings.

After an exhausting first day Joshua was in bed by about 8pm and Mum and Dad were confined to the hotel room for the rest of the evening. Actually after chasing around with Joshua all day I can confirm that it wasn't long after he went to bed that we followed - absolutely shattered.
