12 Wheeler

All is still going well in the King household. Since the arrival of Brandon we now look at Joshua in a completely different light - no longer is Joshua a baby. Suddenly he has become a little boy as you realise just how much he has grown and how robust he is compared with his younger brother. He is growing extremely fast and appears to be going through a massive growth spurt right now. Joshua is now tall enough to reach door handles and does this really funny little walk on tip toes (god knows where he learnt that from).

Since we now have two children under the age of two then it was time to invest in a double pram and as previously mentioned we opted for the side by side. We tried many different types and soon realised it is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". So we ended up getting one of the more expensive ones on the market but are very pleased with the purchase. Below is some piccies of our boys testing out there new 12 wheeler! Be afraid if you see this heading towards you!!!
"Oi Bro, keep over to your side.................and keep the noise down, some of us are sleeping here!"

"Wow, Mum and Dad bought us a convertible"
Little and large.
"Aaaargh, isn't my little bro cute when he is sleeping"
Today Brandon also had another midwife visit and she was very happy with his progress. He has only lost 180g which is well within the 10% weight loss they allow for in the first week. He is still a bit jaundice but that will go in time. Brandon's positional talipes on his left foot is also hardly noticeable now as his legs and feet all seem to be straightening out after being compressed inside Mum for 9 months. Also today the little guy had to have his heel prick to obtain the blood samples for sending away for analysis. He was very very brave and didn't cry or anything.

Tonight we managed to work out a much better routine for getting both the boys bathed, changed and ready for bed with minimal stress. This was only Brandon's 3rd bath and today he thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't cry or scream once. Very different from Joshua who hated bath's for about 3 weeks after he was born. One other major difference we have noticed with Brandon is that he will cry if he has a wet or dirty bum, where as Joshua will quite happily sit around in a dirty nappy all day if you don't make sure you check him regularly.
Anyway the final pics or today's blog update are baby Brandon laying down with his new pooh bear which Auntie Lorraine and Uncle Duncan sent over for him.
