Christmas Eve 2011

Another very busy Xmas Eve for the boys in preparation for the big day tomorrow. The two boys have been very well behaved despite how close it is to Xmas and how excited they are both getting. The day started with opening the final doors on the advent calendars and it has to be said that the playmobile calendars were a top buy for this year. The boys thoroughly enjoyed these and now have a rather nice playmobile set each as shown below.

Joshua with his dinosaur explorer set.

Brandon with his castle and dragon hunting knights on horses.

After this the next job for the day was to finish decorating our ginger bread Xmas train. More amazingly was that Brandon didn't once try and eat a bit of the train.

Then came the BIG ONE. Time to make and decorate our over sized Xmas cracker ready for Santa to fill it with lots of goodies tonight. Brandon loved making the cracker and probably contributed about twice as much as Joshua this year. He was even managing to peal the backs of the stickers off on his own for the first time.

And here are we three King's with the finished item - now that's what I call a cracker.

And no, not all the stickers made it onto the cracker. The boys found it most amusing to stick them all over Daddy.

I was going to salvage last years old cracker but it was looking a bit worse for wear. So instead the boys made hats/masks out of pieces of the cracker. Brandon was being a bit more creative and used it as a crazy golf obstacle hitting his ball through the cracker.

Guess who's eyes these are?

The penultimate job of the day was to leave Santa his pint of Guinness and his Heston's finest mince pie, and to leave Rudolph his carrot and milk.

Last but not least, as we do not have a chimney the boys had to hang magic keys on the front door and the conservatory so that Father Christmas can get into the house tonight.
