"You are a bad loser"

I think the boys have seen Santa 4 times already this year including a recent trip to Lakeside (see pictures below). On every occasion Joshua has repeatedly asked for a fishing rod – that’s all he wants for Xmas. I only hope he is not too disappointed with his crabbing rod instead.

The most recent Santa experience was last night when the Wickford RoundTable Santa sleigh float came passing through the neighbourhood. We donned our coats and boots in the cold, wet weather and went outside to say hi to Santa one more time (and in Joshua’s case ask for a fishing rod again!). Brandon shied away from talking with Santa, but Joshua was having a right good natter. Anyway they both got given a sweetie and then Santa went on his merry way.

Other updates: I think we can finally close the book on Brandon’s potty training. Nearly a week and a half now wearing pants and only 3 or 4 accidents to date. He wears big boy’s pants all day now and only has nappies for night time. Speaking of night time, tomorrow I am collecting Brandon’s super duper new full size race car bed. He doesn’t know about it yet and is going to be soooo excited when he see’s it in his room. Pictures to follow on that one.

I have recently come to the conclusion that our little comedian Brandon thinks life is one big audition to get on an episode of Jackass. He is a completely fearless, psycho head case, nutter. On Sunday I was making an indoor tent for the boys to play in and propped a sheet from the top drawers in my chest of drawers (about 4ft high) and the top of our bed. Before I knew what was going on little Brandon had climbed the bed and then launched himself into the sheet as if it was a trampoline. He went crashing to the floor in an almighty thud with me and Joshua creasing ourselves with laughter. The fearless one got to his feet and didn’t know whether to laugh with us or cry. This is the kind of antics he is up to all of the time (can’t imagine where he gets that from).

Finally god only know where Brandon has got it from, but one of his favourite insults lately is to simply look at you and say “you are a bad loser!”. We have tried to stop him from saying this or turn it into a positive, such as “you are a good winner”. But the best we have managed is “you are a good loser” – suppose its better than being a “bad loser”.
