Norfolk Frogs called Bob

This weekend we took the kids to Norfolk to spend the day with their second cousin Leyla and to see their Auntie Chris and Uncle Steve. The journey there was nice and easy and all the kids were well behaved. Holly slept most of the way whilst the boys snacked and watch the Lego Movie mixed in with a bit of eye spy and some colour car counting. From the moment we arrived in Downham Market the 2 boys disappeared off with Leyla and were all playing in her bedroom (mainly making up shows and singing songs with a karaoke machine!). Whilst the Brandon, Joshua and Layla were playing, Holly seemed to be quite taken by Claire and was happy having some girlie time with her.

Underneath Leyla's tree house was a deflated swimming pool which had filled with rain water. Underneath the pool we found 3 frogs which the kids were fascinated with. We managed to get the baby from into a bucket and very surprisingly Brandon was a very brave boy and picked up the frog!!! He thoroughly enjoyed holding the little baby frog which he had named Bob. In fact driving home he was getting very sad as he wanted to spend longer holding Bob and was asking questions about whether you can have frogs as pets!!

Meet Brandon's pet frog - Bob!

Amazed that Brandon held the frog as usually he is scared of things like this and wont do it until after Joshua has a go.
Anyone for frogs legs for lunch?
Very happy B showing off his new friend Bob.

During our visit to Norfolk we spent a lot of time getting Holly to walk both by holding her hands and also by letting her try and walk on her own. We are determined to get her walking before she turns 1 year old as we did with the two boys. Anyway today went very well and and her confidence seemed to improve in leaps and bounds and by the end of the day she was probably managing about 8-10 steps on her own. She relentlessly wanted to keep going backwards and forwards between me and Tina with a big grin on her face whilst Chris, Steve and June looked on and applauded her.

All four kiddies together.

And another nice picture of them all.
