Tenerife Day 4 - Back in Siam Park

Day 4 and after waking up at 8.30 we were now getting into our routine and headed out for breakfast. After a quick breakfast we decided to make the most of our unlimited access to Siam Park and grabbed taxi to take us there.

We had a really good day and got to try out a few new rides including Kinaree and The dragon . We also went in the large wave pool which was just awesome. It thumped out what could only be described as a tsunami!!!!

Holly is getting braver and enjoying the slides. Josh is getting away with being a 10 year old. We all went through the shark tunnel on the lazy river again. Such a cool idea to see the sand tiger and nurse sharks up close and personal. Holly pooed in the large wave pool which required emergency measures.

Again after a very busy day up and down the slides we grabbed the open top bus back to Best Tenerife Hotel. The evening menu was a Mexican night in the restaurant which was followed by pop quiz at the evening show. We did very badly getting 13/25 but that was because we let Tina do half the quiz on her own whilst we all played the football area. Brandon is really enjoying playing basketball on the ball court and all 3 kids are enjoying the mini disco but not yet joining in.

Tenerife Day 3 - Yellow Submarine

Day 4 and we spent the morning playing in the pool until 12.30 when we headed to Best Tenerife for a coach to the Yellow Submarine Safari which operated out of the beautiful San Miguel harbour. The submarine ride lasts around 50 minutes and takes you 30m deep which is on the limit for advanced scuba diving. Apparently this is one of only a handful of places in the world where you can go on one of these subs. Most tourest yellow subs are really glass bottomed boats but this is a genuine Eur 6 million submarine!!!!

Initially the boys found it boring but once we got to 30m deep there was a diver who hand fed a giant sting ray around the sub and attracted various other sealife. We ended up seeing trumpet fish, barracuda, parrot fish, eel gardens and so on. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the dive and learning how colours dissappear the deeper you go. We took some photos at 30m deep with and without flash to show how all the red and yellow dissappear.

Holly was a handful on the sub as initially you were not allowed to move around much, once we settled on the sea bed at 30m they allowed us to move around the sub which was much better for her. At the end if the trip they played the classic yellow submarine song and of coarse I taught the boys the better version of "we all live in a pot of margarine".. We got a nice souvenir picture and a certificate for our dive.

When we got back to the hotel we all jumped straight in the pool to cool down and then had a nice bbq dinner in a packed out restaurant. The boys discovered the San Francisco kids cocktail and enjoyed an evening of dancing for tickets for the evening show.

Joshua started the day unwell and hardly ate breakfast and lunch which is very out of character. He chucked up in the morning, on the coach to the Marina and on the way home. At dinner Brandon also started complaining about feeling sick but touch wood nothing materialised.

Tenerife Day 2 - Siam Water Park

Our second full day and everyone woke up around 8am. We had breakfast and then grabbed a taxi for 5 Euros to Sian water park which the largest on ghe island and ranked as one of the top water parks in Europe. As part of our holiday package we had unlimited access to Siam and subsequently would be spending a lot of our holiday here. Today was  a little overcast but still very warm which was perfect given we had only been here 2 days and hadn't got aclimatised yet.

We had a great day even though we didn't cover all the slides, but having unlimited access meant we didn't have to rush around or fast pass to get on everything in one day. Upon entering the park there id a large aquatic pool which contaibs 5 entertaining seals. I was a little selfish at first and headed straight for the Tower of power first which is arguable the most famous ride there and thus the longest queues. Josh could do everything except this ride as you had to be over 1.4m. Basically the slide is a virtical drop which drops into a tube that goes through a shark tank filled with giant nurse sharks and tiger sand sharks!

Brandon was more restricted on the slides as he couldnt go on rides over 1.25m. Whilst the Tower of Power was impressive me and Josh both agreed Volcano was probably the best dlude. The Lost City was a fantastic play area for the kids and Holly enjoyed the little slides and water squirters. The lazy river was also very impressive as half wsy around you can go into a filter lane, up a conveyor and then drops you down through a shark tank, so cool.

We left the park exhausted at 5.30 and got an open top bus back to Best Tenerife hotel near our Christobal Resort. For dinner we had a nice Italian dinner and then the evening show was a very entertaining dog show with poodles that could skip, count, dance and so on. Josh and B found it hilarious.

Final comment about this day was that the boys were completely amused by the concept of the bidet to clean their bums. They found it hilarious to turn the tap too hot and then run around screaming about having a burnt butt hole.

The seals greet you at the entrance to Siam.
Four of the seals entertaining the crowd.
The picture does not do the Tower of Power justice. It was very high and towered over everything.
