Tenerife 2015 - Day 1

Finally our summer holiday arrives and for 2015 we were off to Park Cristobal Resort in Tenerife for 2 weeks all inclusive with unlimited access to the world class Siam Water Park. As usual the kiddies were all pretty excited about the holiday and even the journey to the airport is an adventure for them. This year as we only had a 5 seater Mondeo which could not get us all plus cases to the airport, we managed to book a cheap Gatwick Flyer through Groupon for a great price of just £50. This meant we arrived at the airport at little earlier than required, but better early than late. It just cost me more money having to buy everyone lunch and snacks etc.

Holly was pretty good on the plane. She had a initial scream where she didn't like having the bay seat belt strapped to my lap, but within no time at all she was sound asleep and giving me a dead arm for the rest of the 5 hour flight. When she was awake she was walking up and down the isle way of the plane getting loads of attention from other passengers. The flights out there seemed to drag on quite a bit and despite the kids having snacks, cards, games, IPADS etc. they were still getting bored and just wanted to get there.

Anyway we arrived at the resort very late at gone half past midnight. All went well until the transfer bus driver didn't seem to know where hotel was and after about 3 times driving past the hotel he then sent us walking around everywhere with loads of heavy cases getting very hot and sweaty. We finally checked and got to our hotel room which was quite nice with the exception of no air con, just ceiling fans. The boys both shared the spare room with two single beds and Holly slept in a cot in our main bedroom.  As it was so later we didn't bother unpacking or anything and just all went straight to bed. The boys slept no problem but Holly woke at about 4am and ended up sleeping in our bed for the rest of the first night.

Josh, Brandon and Holly at the airport posing in front of an Aston Martin wearing their new named t-shirts auntie Nicky bought them from holiday.

Joshua and Brandon in search for somewhere to get some lunch.

Holly looking very happy on the plane and ready to jet off to the Med.

Holly having a Mummy cuddle on the plane.

The long 5 hour flight path from England to Tenerife.

I found it hilarious watching Joshua reading a newspaper on the plane. He absolutely loved it.

Finally we arrived at our apartment in Tenerife.

Holly woke up a happy bunny and was ready to start exploring the resort.

The main pool had these really cool jacuzzi sun loungers. Unfortunately no kids were allowed in these so needless to say I didn't get to spend much time in there either.

The main pool.

Holly tucking in to some cucumber for her first breakfast. The cucumber seemed to be the main component of her meals whilst in Tenerife.

Brandon photo bombing a fruit character that had been made up and put on display in the restaurant.

Holly out exploring and enjoying cooling down in the water from the fountain.

Holly and Tina getting their feet wet in the baby pool.

Our first full day was spent around the resort just settling in and spending time in the hotel pools. We attended the welcome meeting from Thompson at 10:30am and booked loads of fun excursions including Loro Parque, Medieval Knights, Sound of Musicals and the Yellow Submarine to name a few. One of the hotel pools had 2 little slides which all 3 kids loved playing on and kept then more than entertained for our first day. During our first day we also took a walk to the local beach which was very volcanic and wavy. We ended up buying the boys new sun glasses as we forgot ours!!!!

As with previous holidays the kids loved the all inclusive restaurant and being able to serve themselves. As usual Josh was eating too much, Brandon not enough and Holly hardly anything. In the end we was pretending the Holly's food was ours saying "mine" to try and get her to eat.

The first evening show which we saw on resort was a comedy night which was quiet entertaining.

After a busy first day Holly slept in her her cot all night and boys were clearly tired and didn't wake until 8am.
Holly enjoying the baby slide in one of the kids pools.

Joshua giving a thumbs up as he snorkels in the pool.

Brandon also having a snorkel in the pool.

Brandon pulling a Superman pose on the other kids slide.

Holly wanted to try the bigger slide so initially I sat her on my lap. But before long she was up and down the steps and sliding down on her own!!!

Holly loved the water slides and a lot of other hotel guests couldn't believe how fearless she was for her age.

Holly riding down the slide on her own with Brandon at her side.

Mummy's turn to have a slide with Holly.

A lovely picture of Holly playing in the pool.

Joshua chilling on the lilo.

That didn't last long and soon the boys are using the lilo to go down the water slide.

View of Holly coming down the water slide into the waiting arms of Mum.

Joshua and Brandon soon got bored of the lilo and found this stingray inflatable to use instead.

Brandon posing with the lilo under arm.

Joshua coming down the water slide on the stingray inflatable.

He successfully manages to stay on the inflatable.

Joshua playing in some of the pool water features.

Brandon jumping into a jet stream of water in the pool and getting blasted.

The water hits him hard and pushes him into the pool.

And he is gone.......... Josh looks on wondering if he will pop up anywhere.

Brandon at dinner time with his new sun glasses on. I think he managed to lose them by Day 2!!!!!

In the evening time we had a quick game of pool before the evening show.

The table was on a bit of a wonk to say the least and all the balls seemed to migrate to the right side of the table!!!

After the evening comedy show Brandon got his picture taken with the hotel mascot.
