Its a Cracker

The kids have now finished school for Xmas and yesterday was my last day at work. Before all finishing up we got to watch both the boys perform their Xmas Carole concert over at Miracle House. The show lasted about 40 mins and all the kids did an absolutely amazing job. As Joshua is still on crutches he was limited in movement and couldn't go up on the stage to read out his lines.

At the end of this term the boys both brought home their interim school reports and were both very, very good. They are both either at or exceeding their age requirements for everything (the only exception is Joshua with his hand writing which needs more work). The Elf has recently done a few good deeds and after showing Santa their school reports he left them a present today for doing so well. It was the new "Pie Face Pairs Game" which should be great fun for Boxing Day with all the family. Even Holly has been having a go.

Finally for today as school and work is now finished we used our first day of the holidays to make our giant Xmas cracker for Boxing Day. This year the boys wanted to do a Pokemon coloured/themed cracker which rather aptly doubles as a tribute to the recent Berlin terror attacks as the colours are also the German national flag.

Joshua in the back row singing at Miracle House.
Brandon up on stage taking his turn to sing a song.

Poor Joshua couldn't get on the stage due to being on crutches so had to deliver his lines from the floor.

Brandon and Holly enjoy a game of the pairs Pie Face. He didn't really give Holly much of a chance splatting her with the wet sponge every time.

Time for me to get revenge back on Brandon for picking on his little sister.

We went in to town today to get the materials for the Boxing Day cracker. During the trip we learnt that Holly is a thief as she unknowingly to us walked out of a pound shop with this Frozen Xmas hat in hand!!!!

The cracker colours for this year were Pokemon type colours but also in the order of the German flag.

After Holly woke from her nap she helped the boys decorate the cracker with Pokemon stick-ons.

Last few decorations and once again the cracker is looking amazing.

Holly sticks a Pokemon to the end of a paint brush.

The finished cracker for Wickmas 2016.

As Holly napped through most of the cracker making today she got to do some more festive arts by painting a Santa money box.
