Rainbows Camp Update & New Bed for Josh

Still not much of interest going on lately to update on the blog as the weather has been lousy and we are all still not back to "normal" following the last 2 years of pandemic. Holly has received all of her badges that she achieved during her recent Rainbows weekend camp at Belchamps. I am not sure Tina is too happy as there are another 9 badges that now need sewing on. She has been awarded her:

1. 1 Night away girl guiding award

2. 2 Night away girl guiding award

3. I've been on a sleep over award

4. 4 seasons sleep over challenge

5. Pirate adventures award

6. Space award

7. Baking award

8. Explore Stage 2 award, and

9. Explore Stage 3 award

Tomorrow I will hopefully have some interesting pictures to upload on the blog as we are excited about Joshua returning home from his school ski trip in America - hopefully he has taken lots of pictures like I asked him. Yesterday they left the ski resort and headed to another hotel in Manchester where they stayed overnight. Then today it is a few hours of shopping time before heading back to Boston airport for the overnight flight home. So fingers crossed we will see him tomorrow morning and when he gets home he has a nice surprise as we have just bought him a rather posh new double bed for his bedroom.

It sounds like he has had an absolutely fantastic week and much to our surprise has remained uninjured after 5 days of skiing. We would have bet money on him being one of the first to make a trip to the hospital as he is so reckless at times. It sounds like they were all doing great until Wednesday when 3 of them ended up in hospital with fractures and sprains, 2 students and 1 of the teachers! The other amusing story we have had from him so far is a late call one evening for help as one of Joshua's room mates had done a rather large poo and blocked there hotel room toilet!!!

Holly's new Rainbows Awards for Tina to sew on.

Joshua's posh new double bed waiting for him to return from the US. LED lighting and Bluetooth speakers built in, how cool.
