Joshua Passes his First Karate Grading

Well done to Joshua who passed his first karate grading today, so a nice early birthday present for him getting his first red tag. Josh concentrated extremely hard during the grading as he performed his punch, block and kick. Brandon's group wasn't quite ready this week and Steve wanted to take one more look at them before testing them. So Brandon should able to take his grading next week.

A very proud Joshua with his karate certificate.

Despite Brandon taking his grading next week he was a little naughty at karate tonight. Towards the end of the lesson Steve gave all the kids two simple instructions, sit down and shut up. Brandon responded by telling Steve, "You shut up!". I have never been so embarrassed and couldn't believe he had been so disrespectful to his teacher. Steve was very good about it and didn't even react, if it had of been me teachingthe class, Brandon would have been out of the class and told he was not grading next week!!! At the end of the lesson I gave him a very stern talking too and then made him go up to Steve and apologise. Such a shame because Brandon had another great day at school and for the second time in as many weeks he got Star of the Week for good telling of the time.

Holly is showing real signs of taking her first steps. I think she is going to be like her big brothers and will be walking around before she turns 1 year old. Over the last few weeks she has been using the push along walker to take a few steps and then tonight Tina had her standing up balancing and then taking a few stumbled steps to fall into your arms.

I can't believe she will be walking soon, how quick they grow up.
