Bye Bye Nan-nan

Today was another very sad day for the family as we said good-bye to Tina's Nan (Betty) known affectionately to our kids as "Nan-nan". She had a good life and outlived her husband by 16 years holding out until the ripe old age of 88 years. Later in life she was suffering dementia and also had a minor stroke, but she is now pain free and gone to a better place to be re-united with he late husband (Norman).

Joshua wanted to attend the funeral as Shahinah allowed her eldest daughter Mia to go today. However we just felt that Josh was still too young and did not really want him to have to deal with a funeral at his age given that he is quite an emotional child. The more recent passing's of my Mum, Slim and Uncle Paul really affected Joshua more so than it did with Brandon and Holly.

On this side of the family we had 4 generations running on the ladies side however with the passing of Nan-nan that has now sadly been reduced to 3 generations.

The picture collage which Tina put together for the funeral in memory of her Nan.

Flowers to celebrate the life of a Great-Nan, a Nan and a Mum.

A rare picture showing 4 generations on the ladies side of the family. Holly being the youngest.

The circle of life continues now with 3 generations. Diane, Mia, Shahinah, Tina, Holly and Maisey.
