Easter Half Term @ the London Science Museum

Yesterday I took a day off of work and we had a lovely family day out up in London. I tend to go to London quite often with work, but Tina and the kids don't go that often which is a shame as it is a wonderful city with so much to do. We really should make more of an effort to go to the city more regularly as the kids love everything about it, even the excitement of jumping on trains and tubes.

Anyway we got a family travel card which worked out about £11 each which is pretty good. We headed over to West London to South Kensington initially where we started out visit at the Science Museum. We only spent a few hours in the Museum which was just enough as the kids were starting to get bored and wanted to move on. They really enjoyed the space section the most and enjoyed some of the interactive activities such as trying to design a shuttle to land on the moon etc.

The kiddies get excited with the novelty of simply going on tubes and trains.

Joshua and Brandon hard at work trying to figure out how to land a shuttle on the moon.

Holly with a rather large model plant.

The kiddies with a full size replica of the Apollo spaceship.

Then the moon walk suit used by Neil Armstrong.

Joshua with a very early steam engine.

Holly and B with a train.

Joshua starting to look a bit fed up with being asked to pose for pictures.

Holly was fascinated by the planes on the ceiling, I liked the big power boat on her left.

What a beautiful old car with my beautiful little Holly.

I seem to recall trying to get a picture of the boys like this about 5-6 years ago.

Holly with a 3-wheeler Messerschmidt.

And then the slightly smaller Isetta,.

Brandon with the Apollo 10 landing pod.

The kids sizing themselves up against the largest tyre in the world.

Holly fascinated by the fish tank on the floor.

Biggles Brandon.

Joshua with a very old but very big bi-plane.
