Mothers Day 2019 - Preto Brazilian

I think we gave Tina a memorable Mothers Day for 2019 with some lovely presents. Her main gift was a beautiful glass wall clock with a picture of us five on it which was taken at Rory's Christening. Then the boys both got her some chocolates, Holly got her a Unicorn teddy and then they all got her some pot plants as well. All 3 kids made Mothers Day cards for Tina at school and Joshua's one deserves a special mention as he put a hell of a lot of work in to it, so much so that he was actually award "Star of the Day" by his teacher! Inside he finished the card off with a lovely poem he got from google.

Once the presents were out of the way me and Brandon had to dash early as the clocks went forward an hour and he had an early kick-off in Thundersley. The game went well and his team won comfortably 6-2 which was a nice for the Mum's that were there watching.

After football we dashed home to get cleaned and changed as I had booked us in for lunch at a Brazilian restaurant called Preto in Chelmsford. I absolutely love this restaurant and the food is just amazing. You basically get all your own side orders from a bar and then the staff keep bring skewers of just about every meat imaginable to your table and carving it straight on to your plate. We had everything from chicken, pork, mint lamb, garlic steak, peppered steak, rump steak, sirloin steak, spicy chicken, BBQ chicken, chicken hearts and so much more. Quite simply you have a green and red card each and when you are feeling full you flip the card to red and they leave you alone, when you are ready to go again just flip the card back to green.

After the main course we were all done, but then they brought the desert tray out and it just looked so good that we all ordered desert as well. Amazingly Joshua was beaten by his Oreo cheesecake and ended up leaving some!!!!! I never thought I would see the day when he was beaten by some food.

The staff in Preto are amazing, the service is great and it just makes for a lovely dining experience which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing that put a slight damper on it (although we did laugh and joke about it), was that a group of vegans were protesting outside wearing cow masks and holding signs up saying something like "Even milking cows go to the slaughter house". I can't say that there protesting ruined my meat feast lunch and making good use of the canine and incisor teeth that I was born with just for eating meat!

After lunch we headed around to Tina's Mum so that she could see her and then we took a drive up to Southend to have a good walk around to burn off some calories. Joshua was an absolute freak and took his wet suit to go in to the sea!!!

Tina's new glass photo clock that she got for Mother's day.

Cars and presents from the kiddies.

Joshua got Star of the Day for this amazing Mothers Day card that he made himself.

And inside he wrote this lovely poem (well copied it from google!).

This prompted Brandon to also add a poem in to his Mothers Day card.

Holly using the tongs to eat her meat!

Happy Mothers Day 2019.

There was no shortage of meat.
The waiters carve the meat at your table from large skewers and you use the tongs to transfer it to your plate.

Holy with a Brazilian dance at Preto's.
