After the Science Museum we took a walk up towards Hyde park to have a picnic and to enjoy some of the spectacular Easter sun that we are having. Enroute we managed to grab a nice refreshing ice-cream which made the brief walk that much more enjoyable. In Hyde Park I really wanted to see the Princess Diana Memorial and what a surprise and delight this turned out to be.
The memorial is pretty amazing and much bigger and much more cleverly thought out than I expected. Obviously with it being such a hot day made it that much better as the kids could strip off and jump in the water to cool off. The memorial really brings people together in a fun environment which is kind of what you would expect for something associated with someone like Princess Diana.

The water was chilly but that didn't deter the kids from going in. |

Around the circumference of the memorial are various different textures and water flow features. |

Joshua was the only one who braved (or was stupid enough) to lay down in the water! |

Another different texture in the memorial feature. |

The Memorial is so big it is hard to get it all in one picture. |

As we walked along the lake in Hyde park we saw loads of swans, ducks, herons, moorhens but the kids favourite was this bird with her 3 little babies. |
