Bulgaria Sunny Beach 2023 - Day 6 The Black Sea

Day 6 and another day just enjoying the glorious Black Sea and the pools. We were fortunate to do the paragliding the day earlier as the winds picked up today and all the water sports were closed. The benefit of the high winds was we had some really good waves on the beach and spent most of the morning wave jumping which was loads of fun.

In the evening we played some cards and took a walk down to Nicky's football shirt stall which turned out to be 1 of 3 visits here. Nicky is renowned for having the best range and best prices for both fake and real kits and he didn't disappoint. Each time we visited I spent about 120 Lev which is about £55-60 and that was for a full kit for Holly and a shirt for each of the boys.

Holly ended up with a Inter Miami kit, a Liverpool kit and a Barcelona Messi kit. Joshua got the West Ham shirt, a limited edition Ajax shirt and a pink Messi shirt. Brandon is a bit for of a connoisseur with football shirts and got a Monoca, Napoli and Athletico Madrid. It was great when the kids all wore there new shirts out of an evening because it made it pretty much impossible for the locals in the side stalls and bars to guess what country we were from in order to strike up a conversation.

Blue skies again but a windy day today.

Yellow flags on the beach but it didn't stop us doing some wave jumping.

And as you can see we had some decent waves!

Joshua and Brandon about to get wiped out.

One of them survived that wave.

Who would of thought you get entertain two teenagers just by jumping around in waves.

Of course we took the little black American football with is.

Brandon leaping through a wave.

That wave broke early, here comes the white water.

Brandon enjoyed diving head in to the white water as the wave breaks.

Incoming..............

Joshua being sensible and wearing a hat and t-shirt to shield himself from the strong sun.

I keep forgetting Brandon's tip to take some pictures on an angle.

The walk back to our pool bar for a drink.

The girls stayed away from the beach today and stuck by the pools.

Holly still enjoying her donut.

Holly in her donut.

Holly was quite happy ordering her own drinks and food at the bars and restaurant's.

All that sun, sea and sand - and she sits in the shade on her phone!

Another action shot of H.

As usual the pool didn't allowing diving, but nothing about dive bombing.

A rare occasion with Tina in the pool playing volleyball with Brandon.

My cheeky girl.

Meanwhile Brandon and Tina had resorted to splashing and fighting each other in the pool.

Love this picture capturing Holly, Tina and Brandon.

Brandon getting some air time.

Holly keeping cool in the pool.

Tina trying to escape a Brandon dive bomb.

Learning from Tina, Joshua sits in the shade with his phone.

I love looking at palm trees against a blue sky on holiday.

Brandon still not bored with dive bombing everyone.

And even trying to jump over my head whilst I am taking a picture.

Brandon still trying to pick a fight with Tina.

To stop the dive bombing I start a game where I throw the ball and the kids have to catch or kick it with a jump in to the pool.

The catching was very easy for Brandon.

And even Holly managed a jumping catch.

So we switch things up with jumping kicks in to the pool.

A diving catch for Holly.

Great action shot of Brandon going for a kick which nearly put the ball on the roof of the toilet block!

Another catch for H.

Karate training or football training?

Hours of fun with one little ball and loads of exercise at the same time.

This was the closest I got to taking a picture of Brandon actually connecting with the ball.

Josh eventually came in to the pool and graced me with this lovely pose whilst snorkeling!

Another underwater shot of Joshua.

Confusing the locals by going out wearing 3 different football kits from 3 different countries.

Evening chill time with some drinks and cards.

Me and Brandon spent many a night chilling down at this pool bar with a few drinks, but more on that later.

Darkness sets in the drinks and cards are still flowing.

H with her 5*5 rubiks cube which she bought from one of the stalls.
