Bulgaria Sunny Beach 2023 - Day 7 Khan's Tent Dinner Show

Day 7 and we had a Bulgarian dinner show booked up in the infamous Khan's tent which is renowned as being one of the best nights out in all of Bulgaria. All I can say is it didn't disappoint and was truly spectacular. The food was ok but nothing special, probably the best dish was this cheesy salad starter which used some special local cheese that was just delicious. But it was the evening show that made this evening special.

The tent allows you to be sitting up at your dinner table with real close proximity to the live band and the following circus acts. The performers were all top notch and performed tricks that kind of left you speechless really. This isn't your normal hotel staff entertainment club, you could see all the acts were pro's.

What was also nice about Bulgaria is they don't really adhere to under age drinking rules. As a result of this Brandon had been experimenting all holiday by sitting up with me late in the evening drinking Vodka and cokes (rum and cokes for me). He never got completely pissed and was getting to that stage of having a good "buzz" but could still walk straight and you could still have an interesting conversation with him. This became a regular nightly thing for me and Brandon and was pretty cool actually. I said to Tina if there is anywhere for him to experiment with alcohol then it is on holiday with us where we can keep a close eye on him and not let him go too far.

Anyway never was this lack of underage drinking discipline on show than at Khan's tent! Upon entry to the venue the kids (not Holly of course) were offered Champaign along with me and Tina. Then when the first course came out they were also given the local spirit Rakia which is their equivalent to Slivervitzer and about 40% proof. Josh didn't like either and so Brandon was tucking his back in addition to his own and needless to say got a little tipsy making the coach journey back to our hotel fun!

Brandon looking cool on the rocks and kept trying to compare his six pack to mine.

It's getting there son, but you've got a way to go yet.

For someone who doesn't like his picture taken, he is a real poser.

Rest my case, sunglasses in the pool.

Holly up to her usual antics in the background.

What is this rude gesture the kids keep giving me for the camera?

Brandon's new Tinder picture!

Or is it this one with a nice pink donut.

Later that day we had our first and only downpour of the holiday. Luckily it cleared up for Khan's tent.

A rare sight of no blue skies over the hotel.

But it soon cleared and this was the view from up on Khan's tent early in the evening.

You could see all the way around Sunny Beach right up to Nessebar.

Trying to get a sunset picture but still some lingering cloud around.

Looking down on our hotel from Khan's tent.

This was taken at the start of the evening before the drink started flowing.

And I managed to get someone to use my old school camera to get a picture of all 5 of us.

The tent doesn't look huge from the outside, but really opens up inside and is built underground on 2 levels.

Some of the gardens in Khan's tent.

Inside Khan's tent and enjoying some drinks before the meal with a live band playing.

Some spectacular decor in the tent with this glazed roof window.

I know it doesn't look impressive, but this starter was just delicious.

As the sun goes down the top of the tent lights up and can be seen in the hills from all along Sunny Beach.

Inside the tent.

The amazing even show started with some can can dancers.

Despite having a girlfriend, Brandon had soon homed in on his favourite.

As you can see you sit really close to the live acts.

The clown/plate spinner was literally right in front of us.

Luckily none came down and broke.

There was various acrobatic acts throughout the night which were mesmerising against the lights and with the music.

As you can see the tent is much bigger on the inside that it appears outside.

That is an impressive splits!

This guy was amazing, one by one he balanced a whole bag of golf clubs and a golf ball on one single club.

And then hoisted it up on to his chin!

At the end he pulled the golf ball off and the whole set of clubs came crashing down to the floor to show how finely balanced it was.

The boys really like this act due to the lack of clothes by the female performer!!!

Me and H enjoying our evening at Khan's tent.

Someone was getting a bit tipsy!

Panoramic view I took before we went in to the tent.

Souvenir picture from a great night out in Bulgaria, highly recommend if you ever go there.
