Zante Day 10 - Bowling

Similar to yesterday the two boys had some how acquired a black inflatable tyre today! So now without spending a penny they had accumulated a Spiderman lilo and an inflatable tyre. This was great because it also stopped them both fighting over one inflatable.

Brandon leaping into the newly acquired inflatable tyre.

Brandon chilling in the tyre, it is amazing he doesn't fall through the hole!

Peek-a-boo.

Anyone for a spot of sunbathing?

We all know how good Brandon's throwing arm is, but check out this shot.

An inflatable tyre thrown straight over his Mum's head.
All week the boys had been nagging and nagging and nagging that they wanted another horse and carriage ride. So we agreed with them that we would try and get another ride when we went into town for some bowling as long as we could haggle them down to Eur 10 for the ride. The boys were in luck as they owner accepted our offer and we had a leisurely canter up to the bowling alley.

Joshua sitting on the carriage and all dressed up  posh for a night out bowling.

Brandon looking equally handsome in his new shirt and trousers.

Our horse trots through the town pulling us 5 plus the jockey.

And another nice picture of Tina with the boys on the carriage.
We bought tickets for the bowling alley which also included a round of crazy golf and a game of pool. So we were in for a long and entertaining evening. Outside the bowling alley was a VW Beetle with the 10 mins spiked across the roof like a Mohican as advertisement.

I must be getting old as tonight my holiday fashion sense went right out of the window. Blue and white chequered shorts with a Hawaiian shirt finished off with bowling shoes. As Tina put it - "not a good look!". Unfortunately for Tina she was only a spectator for the bowling as she was nearly 6 months pregnant and therefore lifting and swinging heavy bowling balls is not recommended.

Fashion King Dad kicks off the proceedings. Good form.

Joshua celebrating a good shot. The boys initially both used the ramp but son ditched this and free bowled on their own.

Brandon lining up to take a shot down the alley.

"Not a good look!".
In the end I won with 109 points, Brandon was second and Joshua was 3rd at the bowling. The crazy golf at the bowling alley was not great and in fact we found a much better dinosaur themed one later in our holiday. However the boys still enjoyed the golf very much.

Joshua tonks the ball on the 2nd hole.

At times I think Brandon was playing hockey rather than golf.

Joshua teeing off on the big curved bank on the 3rd hole.

Brandon sinking another putt.

Both boys posing in front of a windmill feature on the 5th hole.

And then the water feature on the 7th.

Wagon wheel obstacle on the 8th and final hole.

We didn't bother keeping scores on the crazy golf as they boys are happy just knocking the balls around and often rush off to the next hole before everyone has even finished. So once our golf was over we went inside to hit the pool tables. The table was somewhat larger than their mini table at home and as much as they wanted to play, it was a bit of a stretch for Little B.

Fashion King shows the boys how it is done.

To overcome the reach problem I let the boys use the rest to help with their shots.

Brandon trying out a rest shot.

Joshua shooting long.

Brandon was dead keen to try without a rest but could barely get his lead hand up onto the cloth of the table.

Finally the bowling alley had probably one of the best planters I have ever seen. Yes another VW beetle with working lights and filled with lovely flowers.
