Zante Day 3 - Horse & Carriage Ride

We started day 3 of our holiday by spending the morning at Alexander Beach just down the road from our hotel. The water was beautifully clear and me and Joshua had a good snorkel out to some rocks and saw an abundance of sea life including some very colourful parrot fish. Brandon realised he didn't like salt water on his face and didn't like the taste of the sea so he tried to keep his head above water.

A lovely picture of Brandon in the Sea.

Joshua having a nice swim in crystal clear waters.

You don't get sea water like this in Southend-on-Sea.

Joshua loves being in the sea almost as much as me and rarely got out. Besides it was a great way to keep cool.

Due to being over 5 months pregnant Tina rested up on the beach in the shade leaving me to chase around with the boys.

The boys were keen to go out on a pedal boat and decided to go with one that had a built in water slide (similar to what we did in Spain). We spent about an hour out on the pedal boat although surprisingly both boys were a bit nervous about the slide. Joshua because the boat was wobbling around and Brandon because it meant plunging into the sea water.

Brandon all perched up on the slide and wearing a life jacket, but thinking twice about going down.

Joshua didn't hesitate to go down the slide as long as we were in shallow water.

In he goes.........

And again.........

After the boat me and Brandon killed some time by burying Joshua in sand.
After our time on the beach we headed back to Planos for some lunch and then the boys wanted to spend the afternoon back in the water park. This became pretty much the routine for the holiday with juggling either the beach, the water park or the hotel pool between the mornings and the afternoons.

Me and Brandon on the lazy river.

Joshua chilling and riding the river solo.
The boys were already getting very familiar with the water park and starting to push the boundaries of their abilities by finding more dangerous and innovative ways of coming down the slides.

Nut case Joshua coming down head first and backwards.

Brandon adopting a Superman pose.
Synchronised sideways sliding.

Splashdown.

Brandon with the conventional feet first position.

Joshua coming down the pirate ship tube slide.
After dinner we took a walk outside the complex and were greeted by a row of horse and carriages. The boys were dead keen to have a horsey ride and it was a good way to get a tour around Tsivili and get our bearings.

Me and Joshua riding at the front of the carriage.

This was the horse which lugged all of our weight around Tsivili Centre.

Mummy and Brandon riding in the back of the carriage.

Tina and the boys posing in the white carriage which we got to ride in.

And then Brandon getting up close to the lovely horse that gave us a pleasant ride around town.

All the horse and carriages lined up and waiting for customers.

Once we got back to the hotel it was time for a beer and to let the boys enjoy their mini disco again. Brandon was up on the stage like a shot and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Joshua remained a spectator for another night.

Brandon on stage showing us his Usain Bolt pose.

Little B joining in the mini disco routines.

Concentrating hard on the teacher out in front showing him the dance moves.

We came away from holiday with a list of new songs that the boys like now want me to download and put on their Innotabs for them. Worryingly Brandon loves Charma Chameleon and also got very enthusiastic to dance to YMCA. Clearly I need to educate/influence his music tastes a little more.
