Zante Day 2 - Tsivili Water Park

So after a good nights sleep and then a very filling breakfast (except for Brandon) we were ready for our day in Sunny Zante. Whilst Joshua loved the independence of the all inclusive and trying lots (and lots, and lots) of different foods, Brandon was a bit of a sod and would only eat stuff he could recognise and that tasted exactly the same as at home. So each meal time became a challenge to restrain Joshua slightly but enable him to try new foods, but to encourage Brandon to eat as much as possible. Anyway the weather for Day 1 did not disappoint as we basked in temperatures of 33 degrees and high humidity without a cloud in site.

Whilst me and Tina attended the welcome meeting the boys played in the pool with their Spiderman beach ball.

During our time in Zante Joshua became very confident with his snorkeling and can keep his head under water breathing confidently through a snorkel for long periods of time. Brandon on the other hand does not really enjoy snorkeling and hates salt water on his face, so he tends to prefer his swimming goggles and pool water.

After the welcome meeting and booking up a few excursions the boys were keen to explore the Tsivili water park which we had unlimited access too during our stay at Planos. The water park was only a mere 2 min walk from the hotel and we also could order food and drink there as part of our all inclusive package. Perfect. The water park itself was amazing and probably had the best kids area I have ever seen.

Joshua coming down another slide on his belly.

This was one of the slides from the pirate ship with a dolphin blasting water at Joshua.

The main feature in the water park was jungle themed and very colourful.

Joshua hitting the 3rd water slide from the pirate ship.

It was great watching the two boys playing together and charging around the water park having a real blast.

Joshua on the elephant water slide with water squirting from the tusks.

The large bucket at the top of the jungle would fill and tip frequently causing what we called a power shower!

It didn't take long for Joshua and Brandon to find the water valves and start playing with the flows.

The power shower in action. The water comes down with quite some force.

After a morning of charging around like lunatics, Tina takes the boys for a chill on the lazy river.

Outside of the kids area there was about 6 or 7 other water slides. The rules of the park were minimum of 5 years old in order to go on the slides. So Joshua quickly learnt to say he was 6 and Brandon was 5 (only a little white lie as he will be 5 in 5 months time). Unfortunately Brandon is small for his age and I had quite a job convincing the life guards that he was 5 and a good enough swimmer to go on the slides. However after a bit of negotiating I managed to get them to agree to let him on the orange and white slides. All the others required you to be over 12 years of age or 1.2m in height. Brandon was more than happy to be able to join me and Joshua on a couple of the big boys slides though.

Joshua descends rapidly down the white slide and is about to plunge into the pool.

Brandon gets a bit sideways as he comes down the orange slide.
As with most water parks there was a wave machine which ran for q15 mins every hour on the hour. Brandon only went on this once during our stay, however Joshua was dead keen to go on this every time we visited the park,

Me and Brandon take a double inflatable into the wave machine.

Joshua braves the wave machine in a solo inflatable. I never strayed too far from him though just in case he got into trouble.

The pirate ship seemed to fire water out from various holes and shower heads all the way up the masts.

Can you see Little B in this picture?

Another little slide in the kids area along with the over sized mushrooms.

I love this picture of Brandon charging through the 0.4m water in the kids area.

Brandon taking some R&R to chill in the shade on a sun bed.

After our day in the water park we showered and cleaned up before heading off to dinner. Usual problems with Brandon as he pretty much ate only chicken, chip and chocolate. If we were lucky then he would supplement this with some peppers and cucumber.

Brandon all smiles at dinner time, but as you can see the plate is very full.

Joshua enjoys a big bowl of ice cream.

As we ate and drank so much each dinner time we got into the habit of going for a post dinner walk before the boys had their mini disco. On our first night we explored the close by Alexander beach which was just beautiful.

Our view and evening walk route along Alexander beach.

Joshua and Brandon getting their feet wet. Love the "King" T-shirts.

The sun started to set which meant it was almost mini disco time.

Me and the boys.

The Greece flag flying high. The boys asked me what the other flags were and I was embarrassed to say I didn't know! So much for "Daddy knows everything".
On the first night the boys only watched the mini disco, but it didn't take long for them to start learning he songs and dances and subsequently joining in. Surprisingly Brandon was first to get up and join in.
