Zante Day 7 and 8

After yesterdays rough day at sea the next few days were spend grounded in the familiar territory of the water park, beach and hotel pool. As the holiday progressed it became very apparent that Joshua was just interested in as much food as possible, whilst Brandon was getting a bit materialistic and seemed to want to buy something for himself everyday! We had tears on several occasions when he was told "no"! I think his first purchase of the holiday was a pair of blue and green Croc shoes to go with the other 20+ pairs of shoes he must have!!!!).

After spending about 6 hours a day in the water, Brandon was starting to get a bit cocky with his diving and jumping. He progressed from feet first, to sitting on the pool side with his hands above his head, to full forward flips and then twister jumps. Despite being told how dangerous it was and that there was a no diving rule, he still carried on and sure enough he hit his head on the side a few times.

The two boys again posing on the lifeguard tower during our evening walk.

This was a nice picture that Joshua wanted to take of me and Tina. Both boys kept volunteering to use the camera to take pictures during our holiday.

Day 8 and the boys wanted to have breakfast outside by the pool.

All 5 of us at the breakfast table.

On the beach I had been given some new challenges by Brandon for sand castles. One of Brandon's favourite kids programs at the moment is the Dinosaur Train. So today's challenge was to build him a Pteranadon and a Train.

This was my attempt at a Pteranadon.

Then the train which I have to say came out pretty damned good if you ask me.

Side view and you can see the size against the deck chairs.

We even used the spade to mark out a train track heading into the sea.

It was an absolutely mega hot day on the beach and so I decided to drag my sunbed down to the sea to help cool down. This was the first time the boys had seen a sunbed in the sea so it wasn't long before I was kicked off so that they could both have a play.

Joshua chilling in the sea on a sunbed.

Laying down on his belly to tan (burn) his back.
Laying down was too boring and Joshua decided that the sunbed would be better used as a spring diving board.

Preparing for his launch off of a sunbed spring board.

Watch out To Daley, you have competition.

In the evening we found a little arcade and the boys thoroughly enjoyed a quick game of air hockey. Joshua won the game but Brandon was certainly holding his own.

Finally for today another one of Brandon's holiday purchases was yet "another" pair of sunglasses. I say another pair because he took 3 away with him and has about another 6 or so at home. But boy did he throw a tantrum because he wanted these kids Oakleys and I just couldn't be asked to argue on this occasion - it was only Eur 5.

Cool dude Brandon with his Oakley glasses.
