2014 marks 100 years since the start of the First World War and to commemorate the day ABACUS school is having a World War 1 Themed day (the actual centenary of when the war started was August 4th 1914). The kids all had to dress up in World War 1 clothing and then they will participate in various activities including creating their own ration sandwiches and have a World War 1 lunch. The two boys went to school wearing evacuee outfits complete with name label and a little ration bag.
