On Friday night Brandon had his tryout at the Basildon and Phoenix Swimming Club at he Sporting Village. Normally children are not taken on until they are seven years old but Brandon was scouted for a tryout a few weeks back and invited along. Anyway his tryout was a complete success and he has been signed up to the Academy swim team training for an hour every Monday night (the one night that I would have had free once Joshua moves from Beavers to Cubs next week!!!!).
We are really proud of the little guy. It is going to be tough for him because he will be the youngest and smallest in the group, plus the training is an hour long as opposed to his current swimming lessons which are only half an hour. So for this month only he will do the Academy swimming and his usual lessons at the Wickford Pool (as I've already paid for the month), but then from next month he will cut him back to only the Basildon and Phoenix club.
