Norfolk Camping Day 2 - Pleasurewood Hills

On Day 2 of our first 2016 camping holiday we were all determined not to let the abysmal weather stop us from having a good time and so we headed out to Pleasurewood Hills for the day. As we entered the theme park the kids were all greeted by a giant size mascot bear which Holly thought was a "gummy bear" - so funny.

Anyway a top tip which we discovered today is always go to a theme park the night after a massive thunderstorm and when the weather is terrible. My god was the theme park quiet and the kids had the pick of what ever ride they wanted without a single queue all day long. In fact on a lot of the rides, if the boys wanted to go around again they didn't even bother getting off and just stayed on the ride.

Joshua and Brandon went on just about every single ride in the park with the exception 2 of them which were for over 1.5m. Joshua and me went on the absolutely amazing Wipeout rollercoaster but Brandon missed out on that one as it was 1.3m and above. Holly also had a blast as there were loads and loads of toddler rides there and she was quite happy to go on most of them on her own as well. Her little face was such a picture as she enjoyed jumping from one ride to the next.

The kiddies got greeted by a gummy bear at the entrance to the theme park.

Joshua and Brandon jumped straight on the log flume. I guess as they were already wet from the rain then it didn't really matter if they got even wetter.

What goes up must come down - but with a big splash!

The two boys really enjoyed their soaking and stayed on the ride for another 2-3 goes around.

Brandon's favourite ride of the day was Marble Madness which he went on about 9 times.

While the boys were going around and around on Marble Madness, Tina took Holly on the Carousel.

My beautiful three kiddies. Love seeing them out having fun.

The two boys were good with Holly and didn't mind going on some of the toddler rides with her as well as the big thrill rides.

Brandon taking this horse race very relaxed.

Joshua looking even more relaxed on his horse.

Holly really enjoyed her ride on a "clip clop" - until it broke down at the end and her and Tina were left stuck on the horse for a few minutes.

Whilst Holly and Tina were stuck on the horse, Joshua and Brandon hit another water slide.

This ride looked such fun and as you needed 2 people per boat I had to force myself to take my turn and go on with the boys!

Me and Brandon loving the speed of the water slide.

Holly riding the flying pink elephants ride on her own.

Then she even went on the toddler pirate ship on her own.

Selfie of me and Brandon on the cable car to head over to the other side of the theme park.

Joshua had to ride the cable car on his own as I was with Brandon and Tina was with Holly.

On the way back, Brandon and Holly swapped places so I got to take a selfie of me and Holly on the cable car.

This weird superman ride looked fun but was very uncomfortable and gave you a stiff neck.

Me and B all caged in and ready to go.

Up, up and away. Faster than a speeding bullet.

The runaway train coaster was really awesome and was another thrill ride that we couldn't get the boys off of.

Joshua and B loving the thrill of the runaway train.

Joshua talked me in to going on the Jolly Roger with him. Seemed like a good idea and we had a spectacular view of Norfolk from the top. But when it dropped we both lost our stomachs and wondered if that was really a good idea.

That's a tall, tall tower to free fall down.

Another great shot of Joshua and Brandon of the log flume.

After a day out in Pleasurewood Hills we headed back to the tent where I cooked up a camp dinner and then we went out to shoot some pool and play some more arcades.

Who on earth thought of blue pool balls on a blue table cloth. Well that's a good excuse for Joshua potting the black handing Brandon the win.
